A Few Things They DON'T Tell you about becoming a mother!

No matter how prepared you are, no matter how many classes you take there are just some things that people forget to mention...

1:People may tell you that it can be scary, but NO ONE tells you how terrified you can be during child birth.
2. You may think you love your baby, you may think you know what the love of a child is like while you're pregnant, but it isn't until the very moment your child is born that truly experience that kind of love.
3. WARNING possible TMI: people tell you that you will bleed after child birth, but no one tells you what actually comes out! Or that the pain you have after you give birth to your second will be worse than both labors combined!
4. Even if you think you know everything there is to know about raising a child, you will still feel clueless when you come home from the hospital.
5.The first night home (or maybe the first week) you won't sleep at all! You will constantly be checking to make sure the baby is breathing...I know I sure did!
6.You will never get a full nights rest ever again. That's right! even after your baby starts "sleeping through the night" you won't! You just don't. And soon after they start STTN they'll start teething, and then go through seperation anxiety...so kiss sleep goodbye.
7. They tell you to sleep when they sleep...all I have to say is goodluck!
8. They tell you you'll be puked on and possibly peed on, but most people forget to mention that you will actually get pooped on!
9. You will want them to start crawling/walking so much but when they do you will be a nervous wreck!
10. You never imagine you will be so concerned about poop! Color, consistency, you name it!
11.You won't know how good little ones get at taking off their diapers until you find a poopy diaper on the floor with no one in it! (true story)
12. After having your second child your heart can definitely double in size!

You will forever be a mediator of fights, a forever friend, but most of all you will forever be a MOTHER!

Thanks!
Krista

Then and now

My boys are growing up so much! Just looking back at pictures, it is often hard to remember them when they were so small; especially Mado. I mean I do remember/have memories of them being little, but sometimes it just hits me that I can't remember how it felt to hold Maddox when he was Jakk's age. Crazy huh? Well speaking of Maddox when he was Jakk's age....Mado was Jakk's age when I got preggo with Jakk. Now that's crazy! So are we thinking of another one you ask?? Um no! Well secretly I am, but I think it would be better to wait til I am finally out of school and the boys are a little older. As hard as it is though with two little ones, I do often think of another baby [I know I am CRAZY]! So...

THEN:

Can you guess who this is???

NOW:

Yep it was Maddox almost two whole years ago :)

THEN:

Yeah it's pretty obvious who this one is!

NOW:

Haven't my boys grown up so much? Jakk is now saying "DADA" [taitor] ;) and he said "mama" once! He's crawling around and getting into all kinds of trouble! Maddox has started talking like crazy, and he even has his very first dentist appointment this afternoon! *tear*

Ok so to get my mind off of that before I truly DO want another one...I have good news! Well, we got our wedding rings 4years ago this month and my engagement ring almost 5years ago at a store called Rogers that closed down a few years back. Since then we haven't been able to get our rings inspected and such. Well when we were driving through Owensboro last week I saw a sign for a Rogers, so I called, and it was the same one...so this week I am going to journey up there and drop off our rings and get them inspected. I am also going to have then send them off to get re-rodium plated and re-sized [since my fingers got all fat from being preggo]! I am so excited because when I get them back they will look brand new!!!!
Well I am off to get ready and get the boys ready for Mado's very first dentist appointment!
